I posted the note in the forum thread right next to this one.

Just as Hugo is about to begin drinking his next ale, he receives a rough shake on his shoulder. Turning around, he sees Derrick standing there, soaking wet. "Sir, masters Dorn and Riardon told me to come fetch you right quick, they are at mister Zyloren's house!"

Hugo takes a swig of ale.

“Derrick I am on doctors orders to drink ale till I fall over and piss myself.”

Derrick sits down beside you and orders an ale.

Hugo shoves Derrick back from the bar

“Oh no you don’t! You haven’t got a copper to your name and I’m not making the mistake of last time and paying for you! Here.“

Hugo shoves his half drink ale into derricks hand and pushes him out the door.

“You said something about urgent matters or whatnot? Riardan and Dorn acquiesce...nay, beg for my help?“

"But sir I just ran all this way I'm so thirsty!" Derrick looks mournfully back at the bar as he is shoved out the door, and then realizes he is holding an ale., and his mood brightens a bit. After you make it out the door, Derrick downs the remaining ale and starts heading north, calling back over his shoulder- "Yes sir, they said they needed someone to lead the charge down a cold, dark, probably-rat-infested tunnel, and that you were just the man for the job!"

After running for a little over 15 minutes, Derrick and Hugo arrive at Zyloren's house and find Dorn and Riardon waiting for them by the front door, which is hanging loosely on it's hinges.

It is about 8pm, and rain continues to poor steadily down over Waterdeep.

Upon seeing Hugo and Derrick arrive at the house I inform tell them to run upstairs and see what Riardon discovered and then to come back down to see the stairs to the underground that I found.

While Riardon is catching up Hugo on what has happened I am going to anchor my rope to something in the house and jump into the tunnel leaving the house to see if I can see any tracks.

While Hugo listens to riardon read the letter and explaining everything, he searches the room.

“A letter you say.....mmhmm.....oh! No, that’s garbage....what’s that!? Monsters?! Oooo! That look expansive!”

The room is primarily an office, with most objects of any interest being on the large desk over which slumps the body of the elf. At this point, the desk is covered in blood, as well as the floor around it. Hugo doesn't see much except for a significant quantity of papers and files- dock manifests, order lists, product listings and details, various personal letters, etc. The elf was using quite a nice plumed feather pen, but it regrettably has gotten stuck in the blood a bit as well.
